Habitat Suites - Austin

We like the privacy of having our own private apartment-type room. We also like the parking just outside the door of many of the rooms. My husband is handicapped and this makes it very easy for us to park. And the breakfast is absolutely wonderful! Such nice people and beautiful grounds. It's close to I-35 so it's convenient to many places.

One of us fell on the trip and skinned her knee. At the front desk they didn't have any sort of first aid kit. I think that should be necessary with a pool.

I asked for a quiet room and the 1st room I was given smelled like some chemical, so I requested another room. I liked the room, but when I went to bed I could hear traffic which I cannot stand to hear when I am attempting to sleep---that was my one complaint.

Check-in and check-out was very, very fast and easy. The room was great. We would stay at Habitat Suites again, for sure.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; the rooms were nice and large - it was a pleasure to have a kitchen with a full sized refrigerator. The breakfast and happy hour were quite nice - not super fancy, but pleasant and the breakfast was much nicer than many bigger chain hotels (e.g., hot eggs & biscuits, not just cereal and breads). The location was pretty easy to access and not too terribly far from downtown Austin. The landscaping around the grounds was lovely.

The pool was a disappointment; very small and not much green space around it -- I had been hoping to read by the pool but didn't do much of that because it wasn't a relaxing experience. Also, lots of kids, of which I am not fond.

Been staying here for many years and love the quietness, accessability, and Euro feel we get here ..it's showing it's age a bit but so am I..Hopefully the owners will be able to upgrade soon. But not a deal breaker. We like the fact it isn't another modern ,slick, sterile feeling place with no personality. My wife is a european and that may help a bit , too.. (all the personel seem interested in their work and that speaks well of management) Keep up the good work...We understand bottom lines....Bill C.

No complaints really Shrubs need trimming a bit ..but maybe it's not the right time of the year for that

The price was very low for the service and accommodations, I look forward to staying at the Habitat Suites every time I come to Austin.

Clean. Good breakfast. Good for long stays.

Kind of in the middle of no where Kind of Far from downtown

It was very clean, very roomy. Overall, enjoyed the stay.

Matress was a little hard. it could use a temper-pedic foam pad.

We always enjoy staying here because of the eco-friendly atmosphere, the location and the price. I wish there were more Habitat Suites around the state. I have recommended this hotel to many of my friends and family. Love it!

I will be booking this hotel in the future so long as these prices stay within the same price !!! was a wonderful experience and very quiet !! Great get away !!!

only got two cream and sugars with each days supply of coffee and had to go to the store to get some more because the staff would not give us any more per bag of coffee !! bed could be a little softer

This is a beautiful hotel; the pictures do not do it justice. The room was huge and very comfortable. It was more like a small apartment. The breakfast was indescrible...I've never seen so many healthy choices. The happy hour was also another meal in itself! We picked some fruit from the trees and picked fresh mint for our tea. The grounds are beautiful and I love the fact that everything is organic. Also, no harmful cleaners in the room. This is the best kept secret in Austin, I wish that Habitat Suites was a national chain. This is my new favorite hotel!

The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The surroundings with all the trees and plants was very pleasant and added to a feeling of privacy. Fabulous breakfast with local food, fabulous fruit and an assortment to plea everyone. Lovely happy hour with beer and wine and snacks. Very peasant to sit outside with a glass of wine by the pool, under the trees and relax.

Location was not convenient for going back and forth to west campus of University of Texas.

A great place for family with two kids and father-in-law. All five of us felt extremely comfortable in furnished aprtment style suites at affordable price. A functional kitchen was a big surprise and morning breakfast was another surprise. I will love to stay here again, and will look fr similar suits in other places as well.

Can minor smell in the carpet be taken care by regular cleaning?
